Our pick-your-own fruits and vegetables
Since 2010, we have been members of the Chapeau de Paille network for our pick-your-own fruit and vegetable sales. Our two PYO farms at Mareuil-sur-Lay and St-Hilaire-des-Loges (Vendée department) reflect the current lifestyle requirements of our customers, resolutely respectful of the environment with a return to the consumption of locally grown, seasonal produce.
Equipped with wheelbarrow and baskets, lovers of fresh produce can easily satisfy their cravings for authentic tastes thanks to our pick-your-own vegetable gardens and orchards.
From April through to the end of October, we offer over 50 seasonal fruits and vegetables, at very reasonable prices, as well as all sorts of advice from our teams of fruit growers and market gardeners.
Thanks to the Vergers de Vendée PYO farms, eating fresh, healthy, local produce has never been so easy! As allies of a balanced and varied diet, fruit and vegetables should be eaten fresh and in season. It’s a shame to forget that tulips bloom in April, that beans are tastiest when freshly picked, or that strawberries are only red from May on!
In the orchards and vegetable gardens of the Mareuil PYO farm, visitors find only seasonal produce. A fruit or vegetable eaten when freshly picked fulfills all of its flavour and nutritional promises.
Reasonable prices
Vergers de Vendée has established a direct sales policy of fresh, pick-your-own, seasonal fruits and vegetables, available directly from the grower to the consumer. This policy offers very good value for money, the harvesting of our crops being carried out directly by our customers. Moreover, the more you buy, the less you pay.

Every day, our employees are hard at work to deliver the very best fruits and vegetables. Here, there are no taboos. They are available to answer all your questions, from the most simple to the most complex, notably concerning our production techniques which are always environmentally-friendly. Our pick-your-own farms also guarantee the freshness of our produce. Picked directly in the field, when ripe, is the most effective way to preserve all of the goodness and flavour of our fruits and vegetables.
